This cream cheese puff pastry is super quick, easy, and absolutely delicious!
Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside β perfect for a sweet snack or dessert.
Ingredients
2 sheets puff pastry
250 g cream cheese
Sugar (to taste)
1 egg
Lemon zest
1 egg (for brushing)
Crushed peanuts
Icing sugar (for topping)
Add the cream cheese, fine sugar, egg, and lemon zest to a bowl.
Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Place one sheet of puff pastry on a baking tray.
Spread the cream evenly on top.
Cover with the second puff pastry sheet.
Cut into rectangles.
Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle crushed peanuts on top.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C (356Β°F) until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and dust with icing sugar.
