These Portuguese-style stuffed squids are juicy, full of flavour, and perfect for a special lunch. Filled with savoury stuffing and simmered in a delicious tomato and white wine sauce. A traditional, easy, and mouthwatering recipe!

Portuguese Squid Recipe

INGREDIENTS :
3 medium cleaned squids
1 chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 tbsp olive oil
100g diced chorizo
1 ripe tomato, chopped or tomato paste
50ml white wine
Chopped parsley to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
Toothpicks to close the squids

PREPARATION :
Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil.
Add chorizo, squid little pieces and tomato paste, cook for 5 minutes. Add white wine, season with salt and pepper.
Remove from heat, stuff the squids with the mixture, and secure with toothpicks.
In the same pan, add a bit more water and lightly brown the stuffed squids.
Cook covered for 20 minutes.
Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
